Army Wife and A Stay At Home Mom

Which is harder? I think being an Army Wife is harder. When you are not an Army wife your husband is home every night to help you with the kids. Being an Army wife my husband is constantly in the field or he deploys for a year at a time. It is hard raising two girls alone. It takes a strong woman to be able to handle being an Army Wife. You must trust him 100%. I don't trust my husband at all. You must be independant which I am not. I am not the best Army Wife. A lot of Army wives get involved with all the Army stuff. I just sit at home and play with my kids. My husband is always begging me to get involved with stuff so I can meet people. I am not a very social person. I never was. I actually worry about my kids being like that also. I do not want them to be like me at all. I'll tell you I never had friends growing up. I'd go to school, come home, sleep and watch tv. This of course was before the internet. Once I got the internet I never left my house. Only to go to work and that was it. I lead a very lonely life so I really do not want my daughters being like that. Anyways I'm done rambling..=)

That's sad. I'm sorry. I was also a bit of a loner, but have since come out of it. I hope you will find the strength to do the same :)

I'm following your from TwitterMoms and hope you'll stop my my blog.

I am the same way...well except the Army Wife part. My HB is an ex marine so he's home. But I don't go out either. Until recently. I started going out with my son and making sure he gets out so he doesn't end up like me. All you really can do is just go and do it. Who knows, maybe it'll turn out to be the best choice. Being a military spouse is the hardest job in the world! I'm like you, I don't get involved very much, but I do try to come out of my shell and socialize, especially during deployments. But hey, if you're blogging, you're socializing and getting involved right?
